OpusFab Instant Manufacturing Quote App Now Available for iPhone

OpusFab has launched an instant manufacturing quote app for iPhone. The app brings the platform’s instant quotes and instant DFM feedback to a phone, so manufacturers no longer need to be at a desktop to get a quote back from OpusFab. That speed was originally built for the desktop, but a large share of the people using OpusFab, engineers, buyers, and program managers, aren’t sitting at a desk when a quote or a part status update actually matters to them. They’re on a shop floor, in a supplier meeting, or between calls. The OpusFab app for iPhone was built to put that same instant quote and status tracking capability in their pocket, so a design change or a new part doesn’t have to wait until someone gets back to a laptop.

The app carries over the core functions of the platform. Users can upload a CAD file and get an instant quote directly from their phone, review DFM feedback on the spot, and check live status on parts already in production, from quoted to shipped. For teams managing multiple projects across multiple suppliers, that means status updates and quotes arrive as push notifications instead of requiring someone to log into a browser and check manually. The goal was to remove the lag between a decision being made and that decision reaching production, regardless of where the person making it happens to be standing.
